Gaming accessories company Razer has partnered with Ecologo, a certification programme that certifies products based on a sustainability standard that stretches from manufacturing to shipment.

The certificate can be given to any brand, since Ecologo is recognised as an International Organisation for Standardisation.

As of June 14, 2022, Razer has two products that are Ecologo certified. First is the Razer Basilisk V3, a customisable device that was recognised as the Best Gaming Mouse by PC Gamer and the Hardware Awards.

The other product that has a Ecologo certification is the Deathadder Essential. The device is described by Razer as “the essential gaming mouse,” and has proven to be a popular product since its debut in 2006.

It is thought that these two products were selected to receive the Ecologo certification due to a variety of reasons, including their popularity and affordability.

Razer’s partnership with Ecologo is not the first time the company has motioned towards sustainability. Earlier this year, the company made headlines after pledging to plant one million trees. The initiative was created as part of a partnership with Conversation International, as part of a ten-year plan towards sustainability. The company has also earned praise for making clothing from recycled ocean plastics.
