Big Good Design is a Taiwanese brand that loves to create innovative, problem-solving products. It is part of the Taiwan Excellence programme, which has a regular presence at IFA. One of the company’s flagship products is the VAGO Vacuum Compressor.

About the size of a small portable charger at 7cm and weighing just 77g, the VAGO Vacuum Compressor helps users to pack their luggage or store clothing more efficiently as it has the ability to compress clothes and other soft objects in VAGO’s special storage bag, reducing their volume more than 50%.

The uniquely-designed miniature vacuum motor can provide a maximum vacuum of up to 300mmHg, according to VAGO, which is about 2.7 times that of a general vacuum cleaner (the vacuum pressure of a general household vacuum cleaner is about 113mmHg).

With a compression rate of 2.5L per minute and a unique auto-stop function, a medium-sized vacuum bag is ready to go in less than five minutes and stops automatically. The vacuum bag is made of high-tech and high-quality composite materials, and can be used again and again. If the bag gets dirty, it can simply be washed with water, says VAGO.

But it isn’t just for packing where the compressor can be put to use. The VAGO FRESH system comes with bags and boxes specially designed for food stuffs such as salad and meats, as removing the oxygen, keeps food fresher for longer. Food can also be vacuum packed for sous vide cooking.
