Oppo launches raft of new products – a new smart band – Oppo Band 2, alongside new earbuds
Chinese electronics brand Oppo has introduced a new smart band, the Oppo Band 2, as well as new earbuds and three new smart watches.
The Oppo Band 2 has a 200mAh battery that can last up to 14 days and offers a bigger display than its predecessor, at 1.57 inches. It also features 100 sport modes.
The device is powered by an Apollo 3.5 processor paired with 8MB PSRRAM and 128mb Nand storage. It supports magnetic fast charging and is said to be water resistant up to five metres.
It also has an NFC variant that supports offline payments on Alipay and WeChat dual platforms and can be used without a mobile phone, the company says.
In addition, it has 2.5D curved AMOLED display with a resolution of 256 x 402 pixels and a peak brightness of 500 nits brightness, as well as support for a 100 percent DCI-P3 color gamut. The device is equally water resistant to 5ATM and is equipped with an optical heart rate sensor, and a blood oxygen sensor.
According to Oppo, the wearable is capable of tracking over 100 sports modes, in addition to the six auto tracking modes including running, walking, cycling outside, swimming, elliptical machine, and rowing machine.
The connectivity options include Bluetooth 5 and the Oppo Band 2 is compatible with devices running Android 6.0 or above and iOS 10.0 or higher.
Oppo Enco Air 2i
Oppo also launched new true wireless earbuds – the Oppo Enco Air 2i. They have an in-ear design with silicone ear tips for a comfortable fitting. The wearable offers 10mm titanium-coated drivers to provide an immersive deep audio experience, Oppo said.
They feature Bluetooth 5.2, an intelligent call noise reduction feature, and up to 28 hours of audio playback with the carry case, the company said.
The OPPO Band 2 and earbuds are up for pre-order in China. Availability for Europe and the rest of the world is as yet unknown.
