German TV brand METZ launches in UK

Multi-award-winning German TV brand, METZ, has announced the launch of its Roku TV models in the UK at the end of October

METZ says that six of its Direct LED TVs will be available in both 4K UHD and HD resolutions, in sizes ranging from 32in to 65in.

One of the longest established TV manufacturers in Europe and known for its design, technology, and quality, according to a press release, METZ will produce its inaugural line of Roku TVs in two ranges: the 4K UHD MRD6000 series, available in 43in, 50in, 55in and 65in sizes, and the 2K Full HD MTD6000 series, available in 32in and 40in sizes.

Rob Peacock, METZ TV’s Commercial Director in the UK, commented: “We’re really excited to be bringing these debut Direct LED TVs to the UK We’re confident that their blend of excellent picture quality, stunning aesthetics, and ultra-keen pricing are going to strike a chord amongst cash-strapped buyers here. With the speedy Roku TV OS and Freeview Play on board, as well as USB Timeshifting and Low Blue Light LEDs (to lessen viewing fatigue), these sets look certain to win many new fans.”

According to Roku, each ones of its TVs comes with the Roku TV OS experience built in, with sizes ranging from 32in to 65in in 4K UHD and HD.

With a Roku TV, consumers can stream their favorite shows, movies, or live TV via thousands of free and paid channels, including Freeview Play, BBC iPlayer, ITV Hub, All 4, My 5, The Roku Channel, Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+, AppleTV+, Paramount+, NOW, BT Sport, Discovery+, and more, as well as music services like Spotify and Apple Music.

Key Selling Points

• Roku Search – Easily search by title, actor, genre, and more across top channels to see where you can stream entertainment for free or at the lowest cost.

Prices start from £179 (€205) and all METZ Roku TV models will be available from November via Amazon, as well as selected retail partners.
