Marshall launches Gen 3 speaker line-up

Iconic speaker and amplifier brand Marshall has launched Generation III of its Home line-up, re-engineered with a wider soundstage than its predecessor, for a “more immersive experience, Marshall says.

Comprising new generation Acton, Stanmore and Woburn speakers, the collection is the result of six decades of sound knowledge, “combined with iconic design to make a loud statement in any space”, the company claims.

This generation of the home line-up has a wider soundstage than before, Marshall says, delivering the brand’s heavy signature sound. The speakers have been re-engineered with tweeters angled outwards and updated waveguides, promising a consistently solid wide sound.

In addition, the all-new Placement Compensation feature is said to correct for any nearby reflective surfaces that may affect the sound, and built-in Dynamic Loudness adjusts the tonal balance, ensuring music sounds great at every volume.

Next-gen Bluetooth

The speakers have also been built to deliver next-generation Bluetooth features the moment they are available. Over the Air (OTA) updates via the app ensure that these speakers are always up-to-date with the latest software and features.

According to Marshall, this future-proof technology will deliver the highest audio quality possible, while increasing streaming range and improving audio sync, for a noticeably better connection when watching video.

The Bluetooth functionality means users can simply pair and play without the hassle of a complex set-up. Everything is right there on the unit, including the Bluetooth pairing button, power switch, bass and treble controls and the control knob so users can easily control your music without ever picking up your device.

Connect and Control

With next-generation Bluetooth 5.2 and the 3.5 mm input, connecting to the speaker has never been easier, Marshall says. Download and connect to the Marshall Bluetooth app to access advanced settings and Over-the-Air (OTA) updates.

Meanwhile, the Woburn III comes with an HDMI input, which allows users to connect to their TV and utilise the Night Mode feature to enjoy a “uniquely Marshall” viewing experience.

A more sustainable approach

Finally, the home line-up has music at heart and the environment in mind. This new generation takes a more sustainable approach with a PVC-free build that comprises 70% recycled plastic and only vegan materials. Marshall is dedicated to creating positive change in the world, and continues to work towards building longer-lasting, more sustainable products.
