With 5G connectivity, high-quality camera features, and long-lasting batteries, Samsung says its Galaxy A13 5G will “deliver innovation at an accessible price” for the US market.
The latest instalment in its Galaxy A series, Samsung is releasing its Galaxy A13 5G in the United States. It’s the most affordable 5G phone in the A series portfolio to date, boasting a long-lasting battery, a triple-lens camera, and edge-to-edge display.
The key for Samsung has been to provide 5G technology at a price consumers can afford – in this case, retailing around US$250. By doing so, the company says consumers will be able to have the reliability and speed to stream and video chat while on the go, while the phone’s Octa-core processor (2 x 2.2Ghz + 6 x 2.0Ghz) makes video calling, gaming, and streaming “smooth and virtually lag-free”.
Samsung adds that the Galaxy A13 5G makes some of the most popular Galaxy innovations more accessible, and the specs for the price can be considered impressive. In terms of space to hold pictures and videos, there is 64GB of storage available. However, the phone also has a microSD card slot that lets users add up to 1TB of external storage.
Other specs include the Galaxy A13 5G’s main camera, part of high-res, triple-lens system, which operates at 50MP. There is a 5,000 mAh battery, an adaptive power saving mode, and the phone powers up at speed with 15W Fast Charging. Samsung adds that the solid refresh rate of the Galaxy A13 5G’s edge-to-edge 6.5-inch adaptive 90Hz Infinity-V HD+ display means scrolling through feeds and gaming stays “crisp, clear, and smooth”.
The A13 5G has been available online since 3 December at AT&T and on Samsung.com, while T-Mobile will launch the phone in January 2022. Around the same time, Samsung will also launch its Galaxy A03s for US$159 RRP.
