Philips’ new brand Evnia looks to make gaming accessible to everyone

Evnia is the name of a new gaming-focused brand launched by Philips, which offers a range of gaming monitors, mice and keyboards

The novel devices will arrive in three different tiers: the 5000, 7000 and 8000 series.

The 34M2C7600MV WQHD gaming monitor is one standout release from the range, and is the brand’s first official release. The monitor features a sustainable monitor stand, which Evnia says is “not your typical gaming design.” The real focus is the monitor’s Mini LED screen, with Mini LED backlighting that offers control of lighting and contrast ratio. The small size of the mini LEDs on the backlight allows for 1,152 controlled zones, “delivering deeper blacks and brighter whites.” The monitor is also optimised for Rich HDR content. Furthermore, the 34-inch display is a curved ultrawide monitor, which supports a 3,440 x 1,440 resolution and is HDR1400 certified.

“Philips Monitors believes that the joy of gaming should be accessible to everyone. Our goal for Evnia is to provide today’s gamers, in all their diversity, with the monitors and accessories they need to get the most enjoyment out of every gaming session, whether in terms of performance, graphics, or overall user experience,” said Xeni Bairaktari, Global Marketing Lead and Senior Brand Manager EU at MMD Monitors & Display.

Future releases from Evnia include performance-driven products such as the 42M2N8900 (42″ OLED flat screen), 34M2C8600 (34″ QD OLED curved screen) and 27M2C5500W (27″ VA curved screen). There are also a range of accessories on the way: two keyboards (SPK8508 and SPK8708), two mice (SPK9508 and SPK9708), two headsets (TAG5208 and TAG7208), and one mouse pad (SPL7508).
